It can be sorted. lower the rear with smaller shocks or run on two air shocks. slide the tube up into the yokes . you can get it down by about 2".

Re: Shocks

On my 1500 trike I use 2 standard gl1500 coil shocks and the air shock setup in between the coils work fine on a straight axle
when I changed the axle for a xj6 jag axle I still used the standard ones and disconnected the air shock that works fine on the irs axle

Re: Machine won't run well, even after professional carb cleaning

Will it run if I bypass the petcock? Because, the gas is coming out of he petcock itself, not the hoses, I checke the hoses coming and going from the petcock, nothing comes out of them. Yes it will. but dont keep turning the ignition on and of without starting it at the fuel pump will pressurize an...

Have you checked the hose to the petcock is not split or the hose clips are not loose. Or you can bypass it or get a new diaphragm kit.

Re: Getting a 93 Aspencade running after 4 years sitting

You may be better off pressure bleeding. I had problems with my brakes. I used a brake bleeding kit with compressed air. but this will work just as well with air from a fully inflated tyre. you will also need a spare master cylinder cap https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gunson-G4062-Eezi-Bleed-Brake-Clutch...

Re: Machine won't run well, even after professional carb cleaning

I have found a possible culprit, the accelerator pump does not prime when the bike key is on or when I go to move the throttle. No gas comes out the little fangs, I call them, on top of the carburetors. I figured this out when I looked and didn’t see any gas. I dropped a little gas in each hole and...

You will have to remove the air filter box to see the carbs. then turn throttle to see if accelerator pump is working connected

Its good to hear it started in the end and you had a long run 250mile. the starter valve stuck may be stuck on or the choke cable may be stuck and not returning fully

If you say they flooded when you replaced the carbs and tried to start it. then I would take them back off check the float levels then before I refit make sure the hoses are fitted correctly to the carb and engine and air shot valves You mention that it was something down in the cylinders that appe...

Re: SHORT LEGS !! - BIG PROBLEM ???

Try removing the seat place a towel over the tank and get him to sit on the bike. that way you will see how much distance there is to build the seat up. get a old one off ebay and have it made to suit. or as said earlier lower the forks and fit smaller shocks on the rear. I have a pair of gl1100 rea...

Re: Fuel cap vented or not ??

I have the same on my 89 when I release the fuel cap. you get that hiss. It never caused a problem when riding. I don't have that type of cap with the spigot on the top to vent it on mine. If that sound is because of vacuum it may cause power loss, probably you are experiencing pressure built up in...

Re: On to fuel pump number 3

Check the fuel tap and vacuum to it. have you checked all the fuel lines even the one in the tank. they could be collapsing.
It may be an idea to bypass the fuel tap to see if that cures the problem

Re: Help....!

Its a long shot but have you tested the gearshift sensor and the reverse switch also check the clutch switch it linked to the side stand switch and ignition Way long shot, not possible it could be either of those. Obviously the gear shift sensor works or it WOULD NOT die when put in gear. The clutc...

Re: Anti dive TRAC system

You get a 2" extension piece with the rake kit as standard.
You may have to take the forks apart to see what's been done. they may have fitted a stiffer spring with a extension plug in the forks.
I put 1.1/2" plugs in mine just to raise the front a bit but I still have suspension
