Re: Counteract or Dyna Beads and Avon trike tire?

I've been a happy customer for over eight years using the ceramic beads from Checkered Flag. After going to the balancing beads my tire wear is even across the front tire-no cupping on the left side at all.

Re: Monthly News letter

I would get it in my Yahoo mail anywhere from 2-5 days later. I took the advice as Wingadmin posted in the ANNOUNCEMENTS and changed my email contact for this site to an old excite address I hadn't used for quite awhile. The newsletter goes through with no problems.

Re: Filter change with every oil change?

I will continue to change oil AND filter. I not going to spend the time and money to get an oil analysis, when for a lot less, I can change the quality filter when I change the oil, and KNOW I'm good to go. Even though I use synthetics, I change every 5K miles at the most. Am I wasting a few dollars...

Re: $12 Solution for your aching butt!

Craig Vetter did the wood board thing quite a few years ago. I think you can still see it on his site. I went to the junk yard a while ago...Removed the mini air pump and 2 valves from the front seat lumbar system from a Ford truck.Paid bout $10 for it...I mounted it in the seat cushion between the ...

It's sad that this will be the last one. I'm planning on being there, as long as it doesn't snow. I can deal with cold, and rain, but not snow.

Re: $12 Solution for your aching butt!

There was a post a few years back, where someone here used an old bicycle tube to accomplish the same thing. It was on one of the other GW boards. The tube was tied/taped into a configuration to cover the seat. It was ugly but effective.

Low air pressure can also cause a low speed wobble.

^ That's great! Mrs. Mini felt the same about riding with me until I bought her her own. Sometimes we still ride two up and sometimes each on our own, but she's much more amiable to going when I suggest we go for a ride, and seems to enjoy it much more.

..... And sometimes I do think it would be cheaper to "kill the witch" than to take a chance on divorcing her. I could keep all my stuff, placed in storage, and waiting for me to get out of prison. Three meals a day and a place to sleep (roof over my head) and my full pension going into a bank acco...

Re: Weight reduction vs HP

I want to apologize if my previous post in this thread seemed insensitive to the guys that were mentioning their wives' physical issues. That wasn't my intention, and it was meant as a "tongue in cheek" comment to inject a little humor-as well as truth. Sometimes what seems harmless at the time can ...

Re: Weight reduction vs HP

Another way to reduce weight is to divorce the witch. But, if you think your wallet would take too big a hit with the new bike, you should see the hit you take getting the divorce! Like the old Johnnie Taylor song, it's cheaper to keep her! https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=it%27s+cheaper+to+keep...

Re: Filter change with every oil change?

Why would you want to run fresh oil through a dirty filter? That makes no sense at all. To save $5-$7 more at every oil change? As the filter "clogs" it will become much less efficient. I'll stick to changing my filter at each oil change, thank you.

Looking for front wheel-GL1500

Due to an unavoidable meeting with a neighboring towns' pothole, I'm looking for a good front wheel. The bloody pothole was so big, that it not only bent my wheel, but broke the belts in my front tire. I have my new tire ready, but I thought I'd try here first, before taking my rim off and getting i...

Re: Austone Taxi Tire

There is just the slightest bit of gyroscopic effect which you might notice in the first five minutes of riding. It's not any different than the difference you'd experience when changing from a worn tire to a new one. You will notice the handling is much more improved, especially if you happen to ri...

Just because you may bill the customer and give the washer to the mechanic, doesn't mean it gets used. Take a walk through the garage at the dealership and look at the mechanics benches/boxes. They all have a stockpile of crush washers,O rings, new parts, additives, etc., that were supposed to be in...
