Re: Humour

A blond was driving when she got pulled over by a blond police officer, the officer ask her for her driver license, the blond was looking through her purse and couldn't find her license, the officer said, "It's a small card that has your picture on it. The blond driver looked and looked, soon she fo...

Re: Humour

A blonde, wanting to earn some money, decided to hire herself out as a handyman-type and started canvassing a wealthy neighborhood. She went to the front door of the first house and asked the owner if he had any jobs for her to do. "Well, you can paint my porch. How much will you charge?" The blond...

Re: Humour

I hope well all like blond jokes: This blond gal was driving through a rural part of the state when she came across another blond out in a green pasture in a row boat rowing like hell, she stop her car and yells at the gal in the row boat, "It's blonds like you that give us blonds the reputation of ...

Re: Stranded with electrical problem

Glad you found the problem, troubleshooting an electrical problem can be a nightmare, especially on a Gold Wing, the only other bike I can think of that might be worse is the BMW K1600GTL. This is the reason I'm not a huge fan of a lot of electronic gadgets, so when I hear Gold Wing owners express t...

Honda's new generation Gold Wing

From the article of Motorcycle News the next generation Gold Wing is going to be interesting, there is no release date as of yet for the Gold Wing. It seems that the next model will offer 2 different engine options, one being the standard 6 cylinder and the other being a 4 cylinder hybrid engine, in...

Re: My opinion 1800 vrs 1500

Adsooter, I have owned 3 Goldwings, GL1000, GL1500 and the GL1800. There are some differences between the 1500 and the 1800 as far as comfort goes. I must say I thought the 1500 was much more comfortable than the 1800, however, my wife like the comfort of the 1800 more so than the 1500. Honda did do...

Re: WHICH WING DO I CHOOSE ?????????

The bike with 98K has 7,500 miles per year, the one with 20K has only 1,700 miles per year, if it were me I would go for the one with the 98K, a bike sitting as a garage queen can have more problems than a higher mileage bike. If both bike as in similar conditions, I would go for the one that liked ...

Why aren't I riding ? Was it because of my rwo back operations, that went horribly wrong, or my prostate cancer that required 37 radiation treatments, or a stroke that left me rather dependent on my very dear wife for almost everything... All this happened in six months, two and a half years ago......

Re: Why Aren't You Riding?

Dave, my wife and I had an experience with a driver using a cell phone when she should have been driving. We were just returning home from a ride, and approached a freeway on ramp, I looked over at the traffic coming on the on ramp and commented to my wife, "we need to watch out for the gal in the r...

Re: How fast is fast?

How fast is to fast? I guess that all depends on your reaction time. If your going 100 mph you are traveling half the distance of a football field every second, couple that with the average reaction time of 2.5 seconds and you have blown through a football field before you even react, and a lot can ...

Re: See Ya Later, Stupid Stator

In addition the stator units generate max power all the time(think max engine load) with the regulator/rectifier doing the job of shunting the unused energy to the ground. Not the most efficient system but simple and very dependable. The alternator units have voltage regulators that control how muc...

Re: Why Aren't You Riding?

I've only had the bike out 4 times this summer. We got custody of our grandchildren, age 6 and 10, and this really put a damper on our riding. I also tore my rotor cuff in my shoulder, it was just to painful to do any riding. Maybe next summer will be better.

An alternative route to go would be to download your music onto a USB drive, plug in the USB into the connector in the trunk and away you go.

If your redesigning the unit why not incorporate a RF choke in your audio path. RFI can be a huge problem to resolve, there are many ways it can get into ones equipment.

Yes I have read that and heard it from BikeMP3 too. Therein lays my question, how does it wire in. Boosteroo has not been able to tell me or BikeMP3 either, so far!! Are you trying to connect a second radio to the Bike MP3 CB? Bike MP3 sales connectors for different second radio applications and GP...

Re: Spot the motocycle

It doesn't take much for things to go from bad to worse, at 85 miles per hour you are covering about 130ft per second, that's about half the length of a football field, now you couple that with the normal reaction time of about 2 1/2 seconds and you can see just how fast it takes to get yourself int...

Re: cb radio

Jeff, I think that the audio you are talking about is for the second audio input, the Bike MP3 CB has functions for two separate radios, however, the second audio input is not amplified. If you look at Bike MP3's web site it does state that a audio amp like a Boosteroo is recommended, here's the quo...

Re: cb radio

I'm just a little confused about the statement "the units audio isn't amplified". Most CBs, including BikeMP's CB connect up through the audio system on the bike, the mic input is processed within the CB to prevent over modulation and the audio out from the CB is controlled by the audio system on th...

I agree with Bluewaterhooker, from what you describe is does sound like a broken conductor somewhere in the antenna lead and I think you may find your fix will be temporary.
