Re: Mouse and rodent blocker

the 2nd review is a bit more favorable, but states that the roll is very small, more like a roll of 3M electrical tape. that makes it way too expensive for me. sh7482x 5.0 out of 5 starsRecommend Anyone With a Newer Model Car Buy This February 16, 2017 Verified Purchase Bought this for our new Scion...

Re: Mouse and rodent blocker

I think that is a lot of hype, the very first Review that I read on it states this: W. K. Upshaw 1.0 out of 5 starsBack to drawing board March 13, 2016 Verified Purchase Just replaced battery cable that had been wrapped in this. Mice ate right through tape. Also, discovered that they had eaten throu...

Re: Mouse and rodent blocker

wish that tape had been on our Pontiac Vibe, the a/c compressor quit last summer..... a lot of frustration finally chased it down to the wire harness where it "teed off" and dropped a 2 wire bundle down to the compressor's clutch. that rodent had got inside the big wire loom and chewed up the small ...

Re: Strange side effect of LED dash conversion???

He disconnected it from the thermister so it could be put to other use, not related to cruise control. I missed this critical part of what he did.... so my explanation is now worthless. Other than, as above, originally it used the thermistor to light the bulb.... But, in his case, that is never a p...

Re: Strange side effect of LED dash conversion???

I cut the wires to my low fuel light and wired the light to the relay right there is where you screwed it up. the Low Fuel Light is a series circuit from the sensor to the lamp. ( and if you put an LED here, it won't work period ) that sensor is a very small resistor that changes value when the gas...

Re: How Lead-Acid Batteries Work

I also am a total believer in only Battery Tender Junior chargers. I just simply do not trust any of the other bigger, and heavier "Automatic" chargers. I keep a Digital Voltmeter plugged into the wall power socket in my RV all the time, if the Battery Switch is ON, that monitor is working. I have t...

Re: Hard Starting Cold

IF, the 1500s do NOT start within about 5 revolutions, they are NOT going to start while cranking period. The battery cell voltage is too low to power up the ECM and make it fire the plugs. get an AGM battery and it should start before you can get your fingers off the starter button. if you measure ...

Re: timing belts in the box

is there any evidence that they have been used? for the trouble it is, I personally would not install belts that are 30 to 40 years old, as that box might be. but, if they appear to be brand new ( unused ) the date written on them seems to indicate that he was going to change them, but life expired ...

Re: silicate free antifreeze

as long as it says "safe for Aluminum engines" you are good to go. you will also find the statement on that container "silicate free" either wording is okay and safe for our bikes, any year model. the DexCool is okay also, but you want to be sure that all the old antifreeze is gone before you use it.

as for the K&N, it is your bike.... but I have thrown 3 of them in the trash, will not use one.... by the time you service that thing, a new OEM filter can be installed and good for another 50,000 miles or more. My OEM filter at 75,000 miles was not really all that dirty... it could have been blown ...

a long flash equals 10, so 2 long flashes = 20

then the short flashes follow up, and they are "1" each...

so 2 long and 5 shorts equals FI of 25

Re: Parts interchangeable ?

Maybe you should consider using the Interstate for parts to fix the SE. You would probably have to change the complete engine to get the reverse and then you would have to change the wiring harness, instrument panel, radio and probably several other accessories to make everything operate correctly....

About a week ago was the first time I broke the back tire loose in a corner. It only slid out about a few inches and was due to hard acceleration while cornering at around 40 mph and I maintained control and kept going without any issues. First time doing that on my Wing, but not my first on a stre...

Just a suggestion, return the K&N filter and get the OEM. The claims of better performance with a K&N do not ring true. Over priced and not as good a filter as the OEM! HiFlo=less filtering! I missed that one.... in every single test that I have seen, K&N comes in DEAD LAST for filtration efficienc...

I sat down with www.partzilla.com and ordered up every one of the little plastic snaps, special sized screws and sunken washers.... sorted into a plastic fishing lure box, and then I tacked the plastics. Re: GL1800 cooling fan wiring modification kit

I have an '02 and have ridden it on the toll roads at 85+ for hours on end pulling the trailer in my Avatar ( a Square Box ), and the temp gauge never got above the middle of the scale.... Certainly never even close to the red line. I suspicion, as you do, some physical problem in the cooling system...
