Re: Bloody Hell just look at this !!

I saw this posted originally over on Saunder's site with a link to an article with a bunch of pictures. I just went to Saunder's to copy the link to the story, but it appears the site is down right now, will have to get the link later... I have all the pix posted in an Album here https://imgur.com/...

State Motorcycle Laws

Which one do you think is ignored the most?

Exhaust System, Handlebar Height, Helmets, Headlights?

Here in OkieLand all but helmets are ignored.

this might be to far away from you, but look at what you can get for cheap. https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/mpo/d/1983-gold-wing/6664624153.html mostly in great shape, between this one, and yours, you have a good bike. uh, just noticed it is an '83 which is an 1100, but you need to be on the look o...

Re: At what point?????

you didn't say how much you paid for that bike, but in the condition you have reported, it is worth about $500 as a parts bike. If the plastics are in really good condition, then fix it up. I'm not familiar with replacement radiators. Here is a start, one of the new design FET voltage regulators, en...

Re: Insurance

Here in the states, if our vehicles are not insured, our license plates are revoked, and that happens quickly when the insurance company reports that lapse to the state.

not good if we happen to catch the interest of an LEO.

only set it when cold, the shocks get hot while riding, and that increases the PSI, do NOT let it out, leave it alone....

I set mine for 57 psi and never look at it again. if it don't bottom out, it is okay

I don't know if Liberty Mutual is allowed in Canada or not, I have full coverage, and replacement value on my 1800, my rate is $39.67/month in the states, your Zipcode and Credit Rating play a huge part in the rate quotes. interesting that the Piaggio Scooter only added a few dollars to the yearly b...

Re: Michelin Alpin Primacy RF ZP tire, brand new for GL1800s

What is the date code for this tire? You have a pic of where it should be, but it ends in an X so that's not it. Saw an online post that sometimes Michelin puts the code on the inside of the tire. How much are you asking for it? I will be in Tulsa next weekend and have been considering trying out a...

the throttle must remain in Idle position though.

if you open the throttle, it cancels the FI mode light sequence.

Re: Amazed by Rotella

Got to ask, what is the AGR problem? I miss quoted that, it is ADG on the 01-05 models, there has been a problem with the Alternator Drive Gear shearing. at first, it was thought to be with "too thick" oil viscosity at startup in cold weather, but I have since heard from some techs who have fixed t...

Good to hear positive experience with Rotella, , ,was that the T-5 15W/40? or did you use a different weight?
2 years ago, I went with T5 in 10w30, this year I went with T6 in 5w40 because I wanted to avoid the AGR problem at colder temp startups. ( 01-05 )

Re: Death wobble almost killed me!

I just remembered that back in 1972 I had a Yamaha 750 Twin 4 cycle shaft drive. Re: New EPA mandate for more Ethanol in 2019

I was at Speedway gas station this weekend and now they have a sticker on their E15 pumps stating to be used in 2001 and newer cars and flex fuel cars but not to be used in boats and mowers. Amazing what the government and big business will do for money with no care to the consumer. and NO mention ...

Re: Horn Relay Wiring for 77 GL1000

This should help you find the terminals.

the original horn wires go to #85 & #86, which is which, don't matter.

#87 supplies switched 12VDC to the Horn.... the frame is grounded to supply the negative side of the battery power.
