Re: Windshield Options

So, from the bottom of the seal to the top of the base shield is 16 1/2" and to the top of the extended portion is 24". This is with the shield in the highest position on the bike. Hope that helps you.

Re: No start, no voltage at solenoid, new battery.

+1 on the reverse switch. If there's no green neutral light nothing will happen when you push the start button. I was panicking the first time that happened to me. Worked the reverse lever up and down until the light lit and it fired right up.

Re: Windshield Options

You might want to take a look at the bagger shield windshields. I have one on my 1500 and really like it. There is a top piece that is removable and store nicely in behind the main shield. I keep the top off when riding alone and put it on when my wife is on back. 20160413_175632.jpg I also have a T...

Re: Tire choices

I too just put an E4 on the back and love it. The E3 that was on it still had plenty of tread but was getting a little old. It howled through turns and that bothered me. The E4 makes no noise at all and is super smooth. Still have an E3 on the front, but not for long. I'll be changing that out to an...

Just wanted to say thank you!

20150720_192844.jpg Just want to thank everyone on this site. People asking questions I wanted to ask. People answering questions that I was looking for answers to. I've accomplished so many things on my bike thanks to this site. The Goldwing is quite an animal compared to the V twin Virago I was r...

Re: led bulbs for trunk and saddlebag lights

As a side note, I have also replaced all four 1157 bulbs in the rear with led versions. My cruise still works just fine. :D

Re: led bulbs for trunk and saddlebag lights

I used these in the trunk side lights as well as the 2 bulbs on the back of the trunk, in between the tail lights. They worked great, but a few of the sockets needed to be tightened up a bit. I used a tiny flat screwdriver to pry the contacts a little closer together, then inserted the led. https://...
