GPS Input Device for GL1100 and GL1200
I've had two requests in the past few days asking for a version of the GPS Input Device that would work with the GL1100 and GL1200 intercom systems.
While electrically compatible with the GL1100 and GL1200 systems, the Input Device uses connectors specific to the GL1500 and GL1800.
What I'd like to ask of GL1100 and GL1200 owners is, if I were to make a version available that worked with your bikes, would you be interested in it?
Let me know by answering this poll. Thanks!

If I still rode my 1100 I would definately go for one of these, but alas I will just have to be happy with the one I have installed on my 1500. Im loving it

Ride safe, Todd

Re: GPS Input Device for GL1100 and GL1200
I'd be happy with setting up an aux input and the stuff to make a headset work... My bike all that stuff has been hacked up... The intercom and mic system for the CB are gone... the box is there, I believe and I get receive on the cb thru the speakers with the stereo but I wish I had all the other stuff to make it all work plus an aux input and I'd be in 7th heaven... It would still all look stock but it would be a bit more modern. I'm into making the bike look period, but be a little more functional. Oh hell, got to get it running first...

I couple of years ago I would have purchased one. I went with another system to integrate my GPS and phone into the audio system. That company has now gone out of business.

Thanks but NO THANKS.
Half of the fun is getting lost on the back roads of Florida.
When in doubt, just pick a road that goes east or west.

Is there a button to click, or are you tallying the count as people reply? My vote is no thanks
It IS a great idea, but I'm old-school. With the family (6 kids) I want to get to the destination with accuracy; but I kinda enjoy getting lost on the bike...

Re: GPS Input Device for GL1100 and GL1200
I have a GL1100 that is naked (no speakers or intercom) so what I do is use my smart phone with google maps connected to my helmet with integrated bluetooth. When I start navigation I also start music. When directions are spoken the music is interrupted. Phone calls also interrupt the music.
Only downside is at highway speeds I have to turn the volume up quite a bit to hear over the road noise. (no windshield). A company locally here called cycle gear has a great price on a helmet with integrated bluetooth.

Re: GPS Input Device for GL1100 and GL1200
I use a Garmin Nuvi 2555LMT which doesn't have an output jack. There are a bunch of guys using this GPS, or similar, because we couldn't justify upwards of $600.00 for a motorcycle specific GPS with this output jack so I suppose I can't use this device, although it would be great to be able to hear the instructions through my intercom.

Re: GPS Input Device for GL1100 and GL1200
I guess I would have to order a new GPS as well, but indeed it would be a lot safer. My 1200 is a trike, and it would be nice to have the input, the 1200 is noisier than the 1500, and I just ordered one for the 1500.

Re: GPS Input Device for GL1100 and GL1200
I have the GL1100 Interstate and I have a portable handheld CB mounted to my pod and the intercom already for listening to AM radio. I like this idea a lot but I would rather have the schematic and build it myself. I still want to combine all three devices into my helmets headset.
I Like knowing where every single nut bolt and screw is in my bike and what it's for. But that's just me.

I may be late to this poll but I would buy it to day if it was available $100.
