You know, I got my cycle back together and planned on riding til it turned too cold for me. Then it was going to be take it back apart for new brakes, new tires, new fluids and new whatever else I could find that needed repaired or replaced.

Now it's been so nice for so long, and the forecast is nice, (temperature wise) I'm beginning to wonder if we're going to just skip winter this year? Come January I may just have to gather up all my parts and start taking her apart nice or not outside.

Not going to complain about that too much. I could gather all my parts then start working on her in February. :D

I think that would be just fine with me!

Beautiful day for riding 62 degrees and sunny. Broke in a new hi-vis jacket that Santa brought me. I always feel weird when I wear any new gear. Dunno why. Had Christmas music on the radio. Good stuff. :D

Took a short ride today. Only a few miles, filled the tank, rode to my buddies tow yard and back. Probably 7 miles in all, but I did ride.

It rained yesterday, and more was forecast for today, but the weather was clear for four hours, so I pulled the cover and took her out. I'll be pulling the cover Saturday and I will be riding the rest of the week. I might even go for a nice ride on Saturday.

Overcast cloudy grey 53f degrees. Wasn't the nicest day to ride but possibly last chance to take a ride for awhile. Looks like a big cold wave headed to the east. Didn't think it was cold enough to wear heated gear so I left that home. Wish I had thought that over better. I could have been riding longer. Was probably a perfect day for heated gear. Heres hoping we get some chances in January to ride. :D

Just got home from a short ride. 49 here down to 30-32 early morning when i head to work. If it's not raining I'm riding, a little wet doesn't bug me but I'm not into the heavy rain. Have to ride the next few days, the radiator fan went out in my son's car so he has my truck.

I'm not riding because my bikes in hibernation for the winter. And besides, it's -4ºC/25ºF and windy. So to keep busy, I'm eating Christmas dinner leftovers. It's a tough life, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!......................Happy New Year!!.........Dave

12-29-15, had a ice/snow storm over the weekend, so bike sat all weekend, roads still bad so wife took a personal day, no time off left in her "bank" so had to drive her to work at 0545, 25* and a few EXCITING spots, but made it ok. Out to pick her up now, less exciting spots so far, but sun ( ? ) sets in about 30 min. . . . .high today was 33* yay me !

never made it to the dragon last sunday, but i did take a 370 mile ride today to the veterans hospital for a follow up on my left eye injury and i have to go back again tomorrow. this will make the 3rd visit since christmas day. tomorrow's adventure calls for me to have my wife come with me so she can drive us home tomorrow. im having minor eye surgery tomorrow morning to remove a rust ring around the scratch in my eye that has attached itself to the scratch and is causing "floaters" that have to be removed. Ah yes, another exciting day to look forward to.

(also see "Goldwing Chat") POLAR BEAR 2016

How's riding tomorrow morning?
Northern Tundra, clear roads with 9AM 20*F to 6PM 25*F ... and the skies are part cloudy all day.
I may ride from Waukegan, IL. to Elkhorn, Wi. for REAL GAS and fill a few tanks.
Anyone UP that early?

IF interested...

I took my 1100 out for a spin yesterday! 2 degrees centigrade. No snow yet in Niagara so I used it to pick up some fondue ingredients. Then i remembered a thread that said to avoid short trips on cold days. Sooo..... ;) My wife refuses to ride today. Too cold. Yet many of my friends will be snowmobiling soon so I think I need to buy her a snowmobiling suit to change her mind! NOT!!!

HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR EVERYONE.

Way to go Neal :D You must have some polar bear in you. Its 32f degrees here and the sun is out but its windy. I saw that the local HD dealer is having a polar bear run. Then I went outside and it was freaking freezing. I'm thinking that I'll hold off until mid January to see if I can't get another ride or two in. Then I need to start doing winter maintenance things. :D

Forecasting low 40's for highs today. Ice, sleet, snow, rain, and freezing temps with fog and been the norm for the last few weeks. Conditions have improved the last few days with the sun shining this morning. Thinking the Wing can get back on the road. :D

I live in Colorado and ride year round. I wait until the roads are cleared after a snow, but then off I go. I ride a trike so I don't worry too much about road conditions. I've ridden with the temperature as low as 15F.
