What's a fair price for fully restored 1976 GL1000 LTD?

Post by truefire5 »

I'm looking for input on what a fair price would be for a full restored 1967 GL1000 LTD?
Unfortunately I'm in a position where I need to sell it. I was once offer $8k before it was restored and didn't even run.
But I'm not sure what I should ask for - any input would be greatly appreciated.

I sold a 99 harley sportster in 2007. I asked original retail price plus 50 percent of all harley aftermarket parts. Tuned it up and polished it. And, it sold in 1 weekend.

I think you could take a similar approach. Maybe ask typical market value plus 50 percent of all significant restorations? If you feel your bike is in a category of its own, then add a premium to your final number but be aware that you are now limiting your sales potential to a smaller collector crowd.
