Bring this back to the top again, my Linux laptop is now settled down and working like it should.

I have two WiFi adapters working now, the internal one built in to the laptop, and a Panda PAU06 USB WiFi adapter.

I have also figured out to shrink a NTFS partition on the extUSB HDD and made it into two parts. the unallocated "new partition" was formatted to Ext4.

that thread is two pages, if you want to read it all. It shows step by step how I kept asking questions and pulled the answers out from the users there.

I am happy with the results.

The laptop works great, but it does not have enough resources to host Virtual Box or Wine.
Tried both of those and it simply locked up when I tried to do anything inside those two containers.

my extUSB hard drive is now partitioned into ~66% NTFS and ~33% Ext4.
