Post by roadlost57 » Mon Mar 05, 2018 7:40 am

well i got to take my new to wing out for my first ride.after reading a lot on this great site before buying this wing knowing it must of sat a long time,it's a 85 gl1200i it has 23500 miles on it.i found it at dealer ship in wi. so the thing i requiered was that it start and stop.everything else could be put back to rite.i have gone though a lot of going over it time, changed fluids the battery, clean the carbs and shinned it up.after a month of doing everything i could think of,(and coming back to this site)i took it for a test drive a month and a half after i found my new best friend.it seams to be running great.i want to thank all the riders who have posted there problems and solutions on this site i have found them very usefull.and i to be on this site for quite awhile.as always ride on

had a 76 gl1000 it got ran over, had another 76 wing i road it all over rip with 172050 on it

Welcome aboard and congrats on the new to you 1200
you should have many years of great riding ahead of you
I rode my 1200 for almost 6 years and loved it
if you didn't replace the timing belts you should make that your next priority

Congratulations on your new ride. I bet it looks purty now.
