How-To Articales

Post by Jigit » Sun May 20, 2018 7:38 pm

I would like to create a How-TO article on how to convert OEM halogen corning lights to LED for GL1200 Limited. Are there any guidelines on how to format such post or should I go ahead and create a post and in what section. Thanks.

I haven't seen an official format on how to create them on this website. On most forums they mostly share a common theme though, a brief description of what you're accomplishing in the article, a list of parts and any special tools needed and then the steps. Lots of pictures too.

I can tell you that this site, at present, does not honor

Bullets or Lists which gripes me a lot.

It will let you use Bold, and Italic, so use "White Space" lines between thoughts, and "2 white lines" between subjects.

if you don't the results will be "run on sentences".

I use an offline editor for my longer posts, and the copy/paste into the website editor.

..... to indent a line
* to create the bullet points

and I use _______to indent thoughts also

A couple of thoughts:
● You can use bullets :)
● You just have to copy them from character map (Windows machines)

Which section should I post it to? The "How-To Article" section is read-only.

It supports both:
  • This is a standard bulleted list
  • This is another item in the list
  1. This is a numbered list
  2. This is the second item in the list
  3. And another item in the list
  1. Here's a lettered list
  2. This is the second item in the list
  3. And another item in the list
Here is the code you would enter in the editor to produce the above:
