Lucky Me
My company was remodeling a home from the Harvey flood in Texas and I noticed a motorcycle trailer sitting under the carport. The owner of the home was an elderly widow which prompted the question of where was the bike. Once we completed the remodel I finally decided to ask her if she rode. She told yes but her husband passed a few years back and she no longer did. I asked her if she still had the bike and she told me it was in the garage. Then she asked if I was interested in purchasing it. So I took at look at it and this is what i found. A 2002 Goldwing GL 1800 Trike with 40025 miles on it, with the trailer. She then told me it was bad memories for her since her husband had passed. The purchase ended with me giving her a credit of $3000.00 on the balance owed for the remodel. She was thrilled that it was finally gone and I was thrilled it was now mine. So far the only repairs are normal maintenance items. Tune up, tires, oil change etc..
