This happened today...

Post by WingAdmin » Sun Jul 08, 2018 6:19 pm

While out riding today, I looked down and saw this, so I had to pull over and take a snap...

GL1500 Odometer
GL1500 Odometer

Something else I saw today: A dresser Harley on its side in the middle of the road, a car off to the side, the rider standing (thankfully) talking to the driver, as police and an ambulance were just arriving. A T-junction, easily half a mile visibility in either direction, the car had obviously pulled out in front of the motorcycle without seeing it.

Keep your eyes peeled - they really are out to get you!!

that is why I always approach intersections wig wagging lane edge to lane edge....
sideways motion will catch their eyes.

straight on, you are invisible.

Wasn't meaning contest, just a mention.
More like a gloat to myself for the high amount of GoldWing "MILES of SMILES". My XS1100 were a different kind of "Miles of Smiles". Now that I think of it, so was my 1973 CB500-4 (147k miles)

The better catch I had was at 160k miles. The trip meter was at 159.9+ and pulled over RIGHT where I was for the pix.

Hey FM
Did that alternator help you out of your bind?

Yup. Simple drill-out using a mortising bit & a little Dremel rheeming, it slipped right in.
IT'S FUN when you have more tools than needed.

Thanks again.
