Goldwing Trike front tire

Post by Scratch2 »

Being new to the Trike world, could anyone tell me the preferred front tire, brand etc. is best to use on my Trike? The stock tire only has about 7000 on it and is worn out. Is this all I can expect from tires on this Trike?

Thanks; Bob

Hey Scratch2, A lot of people (myself included) are running the Avon Cobra trike tire. I can't say about mileage as I only have about 1000 on mine. But I can say that the handling is a lot smoother.

The Avon Cobra trike tire is specifically made for the front end of trikes unlike the Bridgestone BT45 and Michelin Pilot Activs which are rear tires for sport bikes. The Cobra trike tire gets mounted normally and has an directional arrow on the side for reference. Ive had mine over 3 years after going through 2 BT45s and 2 MPAs the Cobra wins hands down.

Then it must be true, if you have heard it twice!
