Re: Roll Call - Albertans
He doesn't have a Goldwing - just a quad and a couple snowmobiles (and a Boeing 737, although it doesn't belong to him, he just flies it). He lives in the sticks outside a tiny village called Calmar, southwest of Edmonton.cbx4evr wrote:Well it counts for your brother. Is he a Goldwing owner? Where in Alberta is he located?
It's a tiny village, but it has a curling rink, of course!

Ya, we got curling rinks all over the place here. Have to do something in the winter.
So then your brother the pilot is probably being guided by my brother the pilot turned controller.

I was in Castlegar last Sept. Rode the Columbia and Western Trail to Grand Forks.
Man our chapter of the GWRRA rides long and hard. Those old farts wear me out. It's been a lot of fun.

Re: Roll Call - Albertans
Hello. I live in Ontario, but I am from Calgary. Someday I may get back there, but it don't look good. I am an Albertan tho, so even the disability of having to live in Ontario is mild when there are motorcycles to ride. I got a motorcycle riding brother living in Edmonton, and someone mentioned ATCs - my sister is married to one who used to be the president of their union. Amazing how many connections one can make on a Goldwing forum,cbx4evr wrote:Curious to see how many Goldwing owning Albertans are visiting this forum. Post a Hello with your location.

Hmmmm, not sure why I didn't see this earlier but.... add me to the list, summer home in south west Edmonton and winter in Casa Grande AZ. Riding an 83 Aspey (the chrome queen) but had to leave it tucked away in the garage for the winter.
Cheers

If you are wintering in Arizona right now you are missing some "awesome " weather.

LOL, way different viewpoints of "awesome weather" I'm likening the sunshine and +16° we have right now.
Besides I spend 8 years riding a bike all year, pushing a Harley & sidecar out of the snowbank was not one of my favorite riding experiences.
Cheers
