Motorcycle shop inspection.

Post by bravejango » Tue Dec 04, 2018 10:03 am

I have a question for everyone. I just acquired a 1979 GL1000 as my first motorcycle and i wanted to have a qualified mechanic give it a once over to make sure it was solid before i start riding it on a regular basis. I dropped the bike off at a shop last Monday 11/26/18 for a one hour inspection. Today is 12/04/18 and they have not looked at the bike yet. Is that reasonable?

I have head that they can be slow but over a week to do an inspection that can't be the norm is it?

If you didn't have an appointment to have the work done, you'll be squeezed in"when they get around tuit".

They're probable trying to figure out how to up the 1 hour they quoted. There is no way to do a proper inspection on any Wing especially an older Wing in 1 hour. Good luck!
