Not really a bike related tech problem, but I have to keep logging in every time I visit this site. I have checked the remember me box, but the next time I have to login again. This problem started some time last year. The admins told me that anew version of site software was in the making?
Anyone else have this problem?

Try clearing out your cache box. That helped me a bunch.

I've done that numerous times. Also cleared the history. Still no luck. This is the only site I have a problem with.

I've also done that. With Firefox I can selectively clear only the data and cookies from GoldwingDocs.
This also has not solved the problem.
I just checked my data and cookies from your site and it only showed my activity from today.
Cleared them!
Will see what happens in the morning, but it has never helped before.

OK. After clearing the cookies for this site, I logged in again and checked the remember me box.
This morning, I had to login again.
I looked at the settings in Firefox and it is NOT clearing cookies or site data (which would log me out) when Firefox closes. Again, this is the only site with the problem.
I just made an exception in the settings for this site. Will see what happens.

Will that clear all cookies? If it does all the auto logins for other sites will also clear. I manually cleared all cookies once and had to login to each site again. A REAL PITA.
And it did not solve the problem on this site.

Sounds to me like cookies for this site in particular may have been inadvertently blocked? Try this if you're using Chrome...

Open Chrome.
At the top right, click the three-dot menu and then Settings.
At the bottom, click Advanced.
Under "Privacy and security," click Content settings and then Cookies.
Look for goldwingdocs.com under "Block", "Clear on exit", or "Allow".
If it's under "Block" or "Clear on exit", delete it using that row's three-dot menu and "Remove".
If that doesn't help, go back in and add it to "Allow".
To create an exception for the entire domain, insert [*.] before the domain name. For example, [*.]goldwingdocs.com will match everything.

Using Firefox. I already have set the exceptions all three ways. Still no good.
Firefox does not allow me to use wildcards in the URL.

Sometimes it remembers me and sometimes not. But when it doesn't it does present me with the sign in already filled out with UN and PW already in it so all I have to do is click the sign in button. I always click the remember me box. I'm using Chrome though.

I just went and added [*.]goldwingdocs.com to the allow portion in the cookie settings. I'm just curious if it will work. My laptop remembers me more often than my PC. Sometime computers just act strange.

I'm not great at this computer stuff but when I'm entering the [*.]goldwingdocs.com do I need to include the [ ] brackets or just the star and dot like this *. :?:

It may remember me for a few hours or maybe one day. Cookies are not blocked for this site.I can set my exceptions for never, allow for session or allow always. It is set to always.
All of the other sites work without using exception rules.

FIREFOX not chrome.

I've had this same issue all along, and now it asks me to answer a motorcycle question before I can login. They are very easy ones, but the ones that are asked for a different model of Honda than I ride...I may start missing some...

It doesn't ask me for anything but username and password. Sounds as though they have two different versions of login software.

Re: Login

The following suggestion at the bottom by tamthumper worked for me. Thanks tamthumper. But there are more issues to logins and saving UN and passwords. I'm not I.T. by any means, but after having a problem with a login at a very popular site my lady uses to watch some programs, I did learn a bunch that I didn't know before. I had to call my internet service provider to get something unlocked.

The culprit can be other than the site. It can be the server, modem, browser, or the device itself. The server or modem can actually permit/not permit/remember/not remember your UN and PW. Most times it has to do with the "s" in https which makes it a secure site. Your device has built in security software as well that can cause some issues. (Your modem can remember/not remember stuff too.)

I don't know if any of this will help anyone, but it might, and it could also help with any frustrations. Some people have stated that this was the only site they have this issue with. But I wonder if how many sites you have remembering this info has an effect on this? I've only had issues with two sites, but I don't have a lot of sites permitted to remember my UN and PW.

I am using Chrome and tamthumper's suggestion worked for me. If you do post a problem, maybe say what browser and device you are using and someone that had your problem with the same device and browser might have a solution. If you don't say, there is less of a chance to get it resolved.

Good luck and stay relaxed.
