Year-round E15 Ethanol being pushed by EPA

Post by WingAdmin »

The EPA is moving forward with illegally changing the Clean Air Act to allow sales of E15 (15% ethanol) fuel year-round in the US. Never mind that using E15 fuel will void the warranty of 75% of the cars on the road today, as well as almost 100% of motorcycles and other small engines. This is clearly a huge gift to the ethanol lobbying industry, and does nothing to serve American consumers. There is very little consumer demand for E15, and there have been no discussions on how E15 fuel will be labelled, or how mixer pumps will separate E15 fuel from non-E15 fuel for smaller fuel deliveries (i.e. motorcycle fuel tanks). E15 used in motorcycles will corrode metals, destroy rubber seals and hoses, and worse.

I noticed that the form allows you to add more text,
which I did noting that as a senior on Social Security, I cannot afford to replace all of my rolling stock.

and the damage it will do to my chainsaw, lawnmowers, tree trimmers, etc...

Iowa Congressman Chuck Grassley and his son and grandson have received more that $1.5 MILLION from the federal farm subsidy program. Might be a clue as to why the rest of us are stuck buying crapgas. If you had as much money as the ethanol lobby, you could afford to buy your own personal member of the US Congress.

So are you saying Grassley is influencing the EPA. If so do you have proof or just making an accusation.

The PROOF is in those checks from the farm program to his family checking account. Do you want to see his birth certificate also?

For many years, all subsidy payments received by by anyone were posted on a USDA website. Cadet Bone Spurs decided the American public had no right to see it, so he ordered it taken down.

USDA may have deleted it, but, luckily, there are groups who want it to be public.

Chuck is there, along with his son Robin and grandson Pat. Pat, by the way is a member of the Iowa legislature. The plan is that when Chuck dies, a Republican governor of Iowa can appoint Pat to replace him in the US Congress.

Apparently he is a legitimate farmer and entitled too the subsidy.
You made it sound as though he did something wrong.
I poked about the internet and see absolutely no kind
of "official" investigation into any wrong doing by Mr Grassley.

And oh by the way, I dont know exactly how Iowa would handle his death in office
if it were to occur. But I do know the Iowa state governor will make a choice.
You of course made it sound as if a conspiracy was going on.

So how about not making wild accusations of law breaking and criminal intent.

It appears that someone at SmartFuelFuture is reaching out to those that have "Taken Action". They obviously got my email from the letter I submitted. ?

I've received two emails from hayley@smarterfuelfuture.org telling me I need to make another contact about it and today is the last day if I was serious about stopping its progress, or at least that I what I gleaned from the email. It was a survey I think. I didn't read much of it, I don't take surveys so I really was not interested.

Since they have my name, address and phone number too, can I expect more intrusions? Probably so.
I feel stupid. I normally do not buy into crap like this but I thought that it might be a good cause. Guess I need to think twice before answering surveys and requests for help in the future.

Anyway, just curious if any of you have had a similar experience.

As I suspected, I received a phone call from SmartFuelFuture this evening at about 5:35 pm. It was a robo call. Hopefully they will give up if I don't call them back.

I get at least one robo call a day, all of them are now using my area code to make me think it is local..... if the name comes up suspect ( Verizon Caller ID ), I just let it go to Voice Mail.
Never once have they left a voice mail.
