What bridge did you cross yesterday?

Post by jcsouders5464 »

So on my way to late lunch in Solomon Island MD, I ran across this sign. Then it made me wonder if the law was still on the books. Also had to cross a couple of bridges that made my acrophobia kick.

Could be, but I doubt it. There are many laws all over the country that were never removed, but no longer apply and some that are just plain silly.

This looks like one of those historical marker signs I see often all around the country. FYI, when I started to google "three notch road" it looked like several states have one.

I added another bridge, The Chesapeake Bay Bridge, which is rated as the scariest in the USA.

I rode over the Burlington Skyway late Friday night:

At the top, there were winds reaching over 60 mph, I was getting blown ALL over the place. I had to slow down in order to keep from being blown into the wall or into other traffic.

All the bridges on the way from Jasper Texas and Dunnellon Florida. 190, I 10, I 12, Us 19. Great time at the ride and eat. Great group of 1800 riders. Though all were welcome. Got to ride my son's spare 1800 while my 1500 is laid up. Fun trip. Wild ride in the super downpour on the way there though.

Ride safe, and smart. Asphalt is like #1 grit sandpaper. Dave
