Was finally able to get some miles on the new bike. 239 mile loop from Klamath Falls, to the A-12 cut off road into Yreka, took the old Highway up to Hornbrook then I5 into Medford, visited a friend in the Hospital then home.
Bike handled well on the highway at speed and back twisty roads.
Road in upper 40s to low 60s also ran into rain from light to heavy. While I staid dry for the most part I was somewhat surprised with the amount of water that ended up on the dash.
The bike averaged 41.23 MPG running between 61 and 71 MPH.
Looking forward to a lot more miles on the bike. Need to be comfortable with it before the wife gets on with me.
Finally able to get out and go for a ride.

Sounds like a good ride. I haven’t been through that area since 1982.
