Knee Replacement

Post by Harp »

Can't wait any longer. Going in for a Total Knee Replacement in a couple weeks. Any fellow Wingers have the procedure and how long before you were back on the bike? PT told me today to pickle the sled 'til next season. Was hoping to be back on in October. What was your experience?
TIA,
Harp

My wife had her left knee done back on Valentine's Day, and she was able to climb into the sidecar about the middle of May.

Had mine done 5 years ago, 90 days I was back at work as metal fabricator in small factory. Could have gone back sooner but the company owner told me to make sure I was at 100% before coming back.
Doing ALL the physical therapy and more with a good therapist is the key. Do the PT and you should be back on the bike in 75 to 90 days no problem.
