Some sad news - Rudy / Ric Woodson

Post by WingAdmin »

Many people know of Rudy, aka Ric Woodson from his products. In fact, this month's contest prize is one of Rudy's products.

Back in 2012, Ric was diagnosed with colon cancer, and I just received news that he has passed.

Ric was a genuine, honest and friendly guy, and smart - apart from Goldwings, we both shared a love of technology and physics. He hadn't responded to my last couple of emails, and I wondered if things had taken a turn for the worse.

I will miss him, as will the Goldwing community at large.

Dianne (his wife) messaged me on FaceBook early that morning, telling me that Ric passed peacefully in his sleep. Nothing to do with cancer as he had been in remission for quite some time.
Big blow to all of us who knew him well! :o :?

Last ride he ever took on his beloved 1500, a number of years ago
