rider down

Post by detdrbuzzard »

and that rider is me!! I got out of an F150 yesterday and rolled my right foot, thought I sprained my ankle or pulled a tendon but got sent to medical. they did an X-ray which showed a broken bone. right now i'm in a brace but I think i'll be in at least a soft cast after visiting the doctor friday

That’s terrible news.

900+lb bike, though, so I would be very sure I was healed before riding again and putting that kind of stress on it.

I hardly ever ride my wing, i'm much happier on the Mighty ST 1300 but I think there will be a stress issue with it also so I hope the XL 70 is finished by then :)

You should be more concerned about getting in and out of cars!

None of that boot nonsense here. They would have taken your leg off below the knee. A few years ago you would have had a strip of leather to chew on while they did the cutting, things have improved now and you get a hi-tec piece of silicone to bite.

I had one of those boot things after my last accident. Couldn't stand it! Was easier to work on my bike using crutches than that thing. I rebuilt the whole front end plus fairing on those crutches, just got to want to. Hope you heal up fast so you can get back to the wing.

going back to the doctor next week, hope he leaves me in the boot and doesn't put me in a cast. I like the boot you found and real glad I don't have to wear one like that :)
