Mileage

Post by echinus1988 » Sun Sep 01, 2019 6:14 am

Nothing much to say except I love my GL1800. I have taken a lot of trips with it and look forward to many more.

The previous owner put on 26,400 miles in 11 years.

I bought it in October of 2017 and just hit 56,800 miles a couple days ago.

I figure I'll do the same the next couple years.

Similar situation here.
Previous owner of my '99 1500 put 70,000 on in 17 years,
roughly 4,000 miles a year. Not much really.
I've put another 27,000 miles on it in 2 1/2 years.
It should turn 100,000 before this season is out.

It was about 2200 miles a year average for mine. I just hope his mileage was as enjoyable as mine has been.

I am looking forward to retiring soon and be able to take many more trips. My mileage is not high compared to some people but I enjoy every mile spent on my bike. Well, except rain, cold, etc... 😂

Just bought a Wild Ass air seat in Sturgis this year. Hesitated to pay that much money but gotta say I’m really glad I did. It’s much more comfortable than my gel seat is. I can ride longer and still be comfortable which is nice.
