Broken timing belt?

Post by jcn59 » Sat Sep 21, 2019 12:12 am

Has anyone ever witnessed a timing belt break on their own bike? I know many say replace them at 40,000 miles but has anyone had one break on their own bike? Ever?

Not on mine but there's numerous threads with pictures of bent valves and broken pistons here....

I broke a belt on my 76. Two bent exhaust valves. No piston damage.
