One problem down

Post by rmcgruder »

Hello Everyone!
I took off on my first major repair to my new used 1992 Gl1500A. I purchased the bike with a number of problems, one of which "NO REAR BRAKES". I purchased a Master Cylinder rebuild kit and started working pieces of the bike off. The more I took off the less I believed I had made a good purchase. Then I took a break and came in and read a few older posts on Goldwing Docs, mentioning how you have to bleed the front left brake and then the rear brake. Went back out to the bike followed what I had learn and Lo-and-behold, I had brakes!!!!!! MADE MY ENTIRE DAY!!!! Thanks to this forum.

It sure does help to read first! The pages here, by others who have done it before, sure help to avoid frustration and pitfalls. The D.I.Y. section is the best on the internet.

I completely agree with that statement.
