Was doing some info search on the Net, NorthAmericanGoldwings was one of the sites that had said info I was looking for.
This ERROR showed...

__Access denied for user 'nagfadmin'@'localhost' to database 'NAGF'

I'm seeing the same thing. That tells me two things:

1. Something has gone wrong with the database, in that it is not accepting connections from the web server.

2. It appears they are using an admin account "nagfadmin" to access the database, which is a huge security no-no. That means if anyone ever hacks into the web site, they have full admin access to the database, and can do anything they like. Very bad.

Every database needs an admin account, and at least they've renamed it from the default "admin". Kudos for that. The huge security no-no is posting the name of the admin account for all to see in the error message, as that's half of what the bad guys need!

Anyone that's a member there now runs the risk of having their username and password stolen, so if you re-use passwords on sites I'd recommend changing any that are the same as the old NAGW!

As an update to this, I just received a notification from one of my credit monitoring services that my username and password were located on the "dark web", and the email account and password matches the one I used on NAGW.

I'd say they've already been hacked, and you should change your passwords on any other sites that were even close.

Correct - but you NEVER use an account with administrative privileges as the account used by the web site to access the database. That account should have the bare minimum privileges required for the site to function and nothing more.

True enough, but we're kind of assuming that the account has additional administrative privileges based on the name, are we not?

Correct, that was the point I was originally making.
