Don'tcha wish 30-odd years ago YouTube existed?

yup, it would have been nice to have YouTube then, but none of us had enough bandwidth then to be able to upload videos. :(

love all the gear coming out of the trunks...

no way, would I take my 1800 over those roads.

Those videos have been posted before. They were then criticized by some for tearing up perfectly good Goldwings.

Personally, I'm just glad that some of my more judgement-challenged experiences as a teenager are lost to the mists of time, not preserved forever on a public digital medium!!

Although I do have camcorder videotape somewhere of that time we climbed up and RODE the airport beacon.... :?

My first dirtbike was a honda cb125 (very like pic) and I was 9. It punished me severely on more than 1 occasion, and I still bear the marks.

In retrospect I wish it wouldn't have been used as such, as it would be a cool little bike to strap to the back of the 5th wheel.

I will gladly leave the street-dirtbiking to the professionals and stick to the rm500 in the dirt.

Them boys is crazy!

It doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you have your knees to the breeze.

Perhaps it would have been wise to invested in the Goldwing dual sport as this gentleman has:

Apologies for not finding that when I posted this...here is the link to it for reference:

I certainly see why some denigrated the riders in the video. I'm sure, if someone looked really hard, there's probably another guy or two that are thrashing 40 year old Harley's that also videoed the activity.

I gotta believe that at the end of the day, they had BSEG on their faces.

Good for them!

I recall Evel Knievel smashing a fair few H-D... among other things.

Difference being, they weren't 40 years old - and weren't *intended* to be destroyed.
