Recently discovered the site after a 10 year period of no Goldwing ownership. I found 1998 Goldwing
with 69k on it for $700.00. Bike had Coolant leak behind the radiators that was due to a three way t fitting that fell apart. $7.20 part from Honda. Other than needing a good cleaning bike runs perfect. Here is where you guys come in. The tech articles have been my guide to checking the safe operation of the bike and my nightly reading. I know boring life. I just finished the spline lube and on the 23rd of November I have an appointment with DMV to get it register and start riding. I would like to thank all who contribute to the site especially the tech articles. It’s almost better than a shop manual. I will post some pictures in coming weeks. Thanks again. John from northern Virginia.

Welcome, John! If your new bike has not had a recent timing belt change, it's about due for it, I would put that at the top of your list.jbuchan wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 10:40 am Recently discovered the site after a 10 year period of no Goldwing ownership. I found 1998 Goldwing

I would think next is brake and clutch line inspection and fluid flush and check the date on the tires.

Did you check the manufacture date of the tires?

If you like it and are happy with it, you did! What anyone pays for something that gives them pleasure is no one's business but their own!Phunnybone wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:28 pm Damn and I thought I found a good deal when I grabbed a 98SE with 61K for $3300

I am happy with what I paid for my bike. More that some paid for their, less that others.
But for what I got, I am more than happy with the price I paid.
