Aftermarket TPMS

Post by tamathumper »

There are some older threads, but not many new ones, and this aftermarket has changed a LOT in the past couple of years, with a lot of products moving to Bluetooth.

I have the bike, and soon will have a trailer with 3 tires (including the spare). So, a total of 5 tires to monitor for pressure and temperature.

I have an older TireMinder TPMS-CYCLE-3 that has three sensors (it was originally for a trike), and it uses an app to show tire status. I would classify it as "OK". So I'll move that to the trailer.

What do you recommend nowadays for the bike, e.g. brand and style, of an external (stem-mounted) TPMS?

Another 2-sensor system that uses a second app? A 2-sensor system that uses a little screen (but where to mount it)?

Mine is now 5 years old, and I would not recommend it to my worst enemy.

it has a fob with a picture of a motorcycle and the two wheels on it....

press a button, and it is supposed to give you the psi in the tire.....
at one time, it worked.... but the fob is a PITA to use
