Hi, is this where I introduce myself? Name is Patrick or PMC777 . I''ve had a goldwing for several years, but didn't know this site existed until I was doing a search on why my bastit (that's what I call my bike) wouldn't start. It sat for quite a while (3 years) in storage and wasn't sure it would start at all without pulling out the carbs, but it turned over easy as pie. Then the neutral light wouldn't go on and the bike wouldn't start again. I fiddled with the shifter and it came on and started, then I tried to start it later and the same problem, but all the shifting in the world wasn't working. Enter "Goldwingdocs" and of course someone had the same problem. I followed someone's advice to check the shifter switch and sho' nuff, it was stuck open. THANK YOU! You saved me a ton of pointless work.
I have ad guard on on my puter and don't want to turn it off, but would like to show my appreciation for the help. Maybe you should add a donation page to the web site to help with ... maintenance fees.. Just a thought.
