Golf bag carrier

Post by Dagostini »

I saw an older post on the chat about golf bag carriers. Searching the web I found a couple for $375 to $400. I didn't want to pay that so I made one myself. It is from some steel bought at Lowes and few scraps from the company I work at. All in All it cost me about $100. If anyone is interested I'll post the instructions on how I made it. Going to take them on a trip to Florida on Friday from South Carolina.

So I did a 600 mile round trip with the golf clubs and the ride was good. No issues with the clubs or the ride.

That's good. I was worried there would be too much weight on that rack and hitch. I haven't weighed my golf bag in many years, okay never, but it seems like it would be too heavy for back there.

I know what you mean, I think the next improvement will be modifying it to have the 5/8"x2 flat bar to fit into the receiver. The ride with it was good no handling issues you wouldn't normally have with a passenger.
