Said goodbye to my gl1500

My 2000 Goldwing has gone to a new home. I have owned itfor the last 12 years and has served me well. Only really had two problems during that time, the tachometer failed - never managed to fix that one, and the speedo cable failed earlier this year, which as an easy and reasonably cheap fix.
But recently I have found the bike increasingly difficult to manage due to its sheer weight, and it is not really suited to the narrow country lanes around these parts. Moreover, parts are getting increasingly difficult to get hold of. A new rear tyre took a month to arrive.
Anyway, thanks for all the advice, especially to WingAdmin - I would never have managed to change the timing belts without your excellent step by step guidance you provide on these pages, as well as all the other info I have gleaned over the last 12 years.
My new (to me) bike? It's a BMW R1200RT. Still a biggish bike I know but its over 100 kilos lighter than the 'Wing.
