Amplifier?

Post by waterman »

Hey. Anyone that have experienced weak sound from both front and rear right speakers on a Gl1800 2008. I have checked the resistance between the speakers and the amplifier plug, ok. The left side is ok. I suspect there is something wrong with the amplifier. Greetings Waterman

It could be the amplifier but it can also be the signal going to the amp, If it had RCA connectors I would hook up an alternative source to the amp that had a volume control and see if it has clear sound but I believe you have a block plug , you could find the input signal wires and use 2 female RCA plug and wires , strip the wire and temporarily insert into the correct wires on the block plug, the wire ID is easy because signal wires are shielded so there is an inner wire and an outer, if both front and rear are effected it is probably a 2 coaxial wire in and 4 amplified output pairs, the step forward is to identify if it is the preamp/source or the amplifier.
