GoFundMe

Post by Micbro2345 »

https://gofund.me/d3abbcbb I was pulled over by the cops and forcefully detained my bike was impounded for no reason. I have not gotten any paperwork or any documents for anything that I did wrong. They tried to get me for DUI I passed the field sobriety test he took me for a blow test I passed it and they said I'm free to go. Now my bike is an impoundment and I can't get it back so I started a GoFundMe anything would help I appreciate it. I've got a little bit of video on my YouTube channel if you would like to see it.

I think you created your own problem and now need to extricate yourself from it.

I don't think getting argumentative with a police officer ever works to your advantage. I don't think they have to charge you with a crime before they ask to see your driver's license. They only need to have probable cause to stop you and initiate an investigation. Your cooperation would have made short work of the investigation and you would have been on your way. Lesson learned.

Agreed. Trying to be a roadside lawyer with a police officer NEVER works. If they have performed a traffic stop, they can legally request your ID, registration and proof if insurance, and you must provide it. Just be polite, comply with the legal request and be on your way with maybe a ticket. Your response to this officer is 100% the cause of your difficulties. Your video asserts the police are "above the law" yet nothing in the video showed them doing anything extralegal.

If you have a problem with how things were done, just comply and take it up in court later. Don't try to "lawyer" yourself out of a traffic stop. It won't work.
