I think I posted once before about what I do, but I can't find it. This pretty well sums it up:

Thank you for serving your country. It sounds like you have had an 'interesting' life, so enjoy your days as a bum, and look forward to the days of riding.

started out at 13 as an auto mechanics apprentice, went to Lincoln Tech in the 90's, then joined the Air force, I was a Helicopter Crew Chief,(aka Mechanic), then left the military in 2007, worked in the civilian DOD sector doing the same thing till 2012, in 2013 did some fire fighting, and went to welding school, now I am a Welder Fabricator.

After 8 years in the Air Force (mechanic) I went to college to become a history teacher. One of the best decisions I ever made (along with joining the AF, marrying my wife, and having my 3 kids). I have been teaching American History at a medium size high school in WI for the last 13 years. During the summer I give tours on Segways.

Air conditioning contractor here. Got a degree in photography in 1975. Worked professionally in hospitals, advertising, weddings and events for almost 20 years. Started the AC business with a partner in 1992. Bought him out in 2005, and am still working at it. My body is starting to complain about the physical side of the job, but I'm not ready or able to retire just yet. We work on, and replace everything from 1.5 tons to 30 tons, hermetic and semi-hermetic units.

Like others, I posted on here once before. Was a Deputy Sheriff for 25 years and then a "Light Tech" for 10 years, (light tech = changing light bulbs and replacing/installing new light fixtures).
Used my truck to haul stuff across the country for a while, just when I wanted/needed a little extra money.
Now, retired! Except for taking care of the parents.

Just to answer an earlier question " when did this happen" the movement of goldwing production back to Japan . The last year of gw production at the marysville plant was 2010. The first full year of production in Japan was the 2012 model. There were no 2011 full production models. There was a small design/model change with the 2012 model (why build new tooling for an old model)

The motorcycle plant was converted to a sub-Assy plant to feed the car plant.(Accords,TL,and some small Acura suv)

I was an O.T.R. truck driver through out the 1990s and I currently drive about 250 to 600 miles a day hauling train engineers and conductors to-and-from their trains for K.C.S. railroad here in the mid-west.
The easiest job I have ever had. :)
I worked in Industrial plants in S.E. Texas around Pasadena through out the 1980s.
Not very exciting but I have worked my entire life. :)
( Proud new owner of a 1996 S.E. 1500 ) :D

Wife and I are both retired - I was a CAD support engineer at National Semiconductor - they were 9 years old when I started working there, and they were bought by Texas Instruments shortly after I retired - they couldn't survive without me! My wife was a pricing clerk for Viking Freight, then FedEx Freight bought Viking and she was with them until they closed their California offices and moved to Arkansas. Now we spend all day babysitting our grandkids...
