I have an 82 GL1100 and I don't have this setup. I removed the false tank and there's no compressor, gauge, or buttons. I tried tracing the lines from the forks and rear shocks but lost them in the frame. I'm usually short on time when working on the bike so I'll take another look soon, but are there models without this setup?

Do or do not, there is no try.

In 1982 only the Aspencade had a compressor. If your bike is not an Aspencade, then it did not come with this setup.

I found where the hoses go, no where! I guess you pressurize the shocks and forks then just leave it and monitor it. Good stuff thanks for the reply

If you can pump up the shocks with another compressor (and they hold pressure) then you'll have to have a look at your compressor. Remove one of the hose fittings and run it with your finger over the outlet to see if it is pumping any air.

Moist dessicant will not stop the compressor from working, it will just not remove moisture from the compressed air.
