I don't want to pay $30 for a bit of rubber

Post by agedbikeman »

During the summer, couldn't understand why my left foot was roasting, when I took the downpipe cover off to fit a shifter brace, all became clear, the rubber heatshield was missing, 30 bucks for a bit of rubber, not on your nelly,, bought a square piece of rubber enough to make 3 on ebay for 7 euros.

2mm thick rubber sheet 7 euros

Fix with 6 cheese head screws and nuts, Job done, with enough left incase i need another one, I just have to detemine the crash bar slot and hole and the shift shaft hole, not rocket science.

If I wasn't so clever, I wouldn't need to be so good looking.

I have a very smart response to your subject line but I should keep it to myself.

I like that rubber replacement idea. Even on the bench their horrid to get back in.
Those little rubber nips are difficult to get back in those 'tight little holes' without ripping them.

Good fix. According to Red Green - If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy. Saw Red Green doing a one man stand up comedy, highly recommend he be seen if you get the chance.
