maintenance record

Post by Dogsled »

I've read alot of articles about putting car tires on the raers and them lasting twice as long. Here is a picture of change time between a set of Elite 3's. One article I read stated the longer period of time the car tire gives you, the longer time between maintenance. The differential dust cover only keeps out so much dust and the slpine lube gets old and dirty. I don't know the numbers but if I got alot more miles off my E-3 and neglected maintenace, who knows what wear or damage could happen in the longer run. So if your running car tires make sure you do a regular maintenance check on this area. Tire wear isn't the only issue here. You can see the dust around the edges just waitin to get into the splines.

That's a really good point that a lot of people have probably never thought about.
