2 stroke oil
I read a post a while ago about folks suggesting the use of TC-W3 type 2-stroke oil in our gas on a wing. Have spent a few hours trying to find the post with no luck. Lots of discussions about various additives and the ethanol issue but could find nothing about the TC-W3. If I remember it was suggested as a way to keep the fuel system lubed. I just had what I believe (guessing) was a stuck float in the right side forward carb (as I was riding) and it caused gas to flow out the overflow and run in a constant stream (out of a black plastic tube connecting both carbs) down onto a hot engine. I felt/heard a missing cyl and could smell gas, when I looked down just in time to see the fire start on the engine just forward of the fuel pump. I was able to pull over and pulled a large bottle of water I had in the trunk out. It was enough to wash the burning gas off the engine and onto the ground where I could put it out. Needless to say I would prefer not to repeat that. Pulling down the carbs on that side I could not find anything wrong with then, but got rebuild kits and rebuilt them. If anyone has any suggestions I am open to them. Thought the TC-W3 in small amounts 100:1 or 50:1 might not hurt?

I can't imagine that being too good for the "cats". I've heard of folks using MMO (Marvel Mystery Oil) in their fuel system and the crankcase. No first-hand experience, but maybe something to "Google".

Re: 2 stroke oil
I've been running it, 1 oz to 5 gallons in my '82 Aspencade, and in my 2001 Accord. I get slightly better fuel economy.
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.
