anybody got a colr code schematic on this meter...http://www.davescyclesupply.com/product ... tem_id=390. I need to trace some wires, I got a battery reading one thing the alternator reading another and the meter reading something else (using an volt meter...Everything is pointing to the alternator BUT.......
This meter saved my butt the when the alternator went bad a few years ago. Now everything is haywire, the gear selection and then the different voltage readings.....
I bought this Drag Specialties battery about 2 years ago....actually it was 4 years but it failed the first two years and they gave new batteries to replace them...It's hard not to put that into suspect for failure.
If I gotta send this alternator back to Ken Hemmings it's gonna kill a trip I got planned. He supposedly fixed all the issues that the Hitachi alternators had.....now I just have to wonder if puting new brushes in is good. This is way to short of a period to have to keep changing alternators and brushes....ask my 1998 S-10 (original)....
Hey sorry about the little frustration...not the first time the Wing let me down

is this legit......
disconnect the battery and hook it to my 12v boat motor battery. Let the bike run and put the volt meter onto the alternator at a high rpm to see if it's putting out.....
