I have a Goldwing GPS Input connected to my GPS. Does anyone know if I could connect an additional Goldwing GPS Input inline to accommodate a radar detector. I'm not sure if that configuration would isolate the 2 devices so as to prevent any possible damage.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Re: Goldwing GPS Input
I wouldn't recommend it. It might work, but you may find that the microphone sensitivity is cut down, and the music mute may not work correctly.stevelasvegas wrote:I have a Goldwing GPS Input connected to my GPS. The best way to go about what you're doing is to buy a simple 1/8" "Y" connector that lets you plug both the GPS and radar detector in parallel to the same jack. The only problem you may encounter doing this is some ground loop noise between the two devices, this could be mitigated or reduced by making sure they are both being powered from the same place.
