Ran across this Tire Pressure Monitoring System on Amazon. It has gotten good reviews there so I searched the web further and only ran across positive feedback. The system will work with your bike + trailer (with purchase of 2 additional sensors) They don't have much info for the motorcycle system on their site. Best to call them.
Has anyone here purchased this TPMS and have any comments or suggestions?
I have a co-worker who had a tire go down on him while his wife was on the back. They were in the mountains on a curve and went down. She got messed up pretty bad. This is one of those peace of mind items I can't live without after seeing what happened to her.

Re: Tire-SafeGuard TPMS??
This system has been mentioned before in this thread. I see someone put one on his GL1800 - I wonder how they work on those with the 90 degree valve stems?

I'll let you know how well they work on the 90 degree valve stems after mine arrives and I get my bike back on the road.
We haven't even had the bike two weeks and it has gone from this to this
I'm contemplating if I should go ahead and do the timing belts while I have her torn apart this far.

You definitely should do the belts while you have things torn apart!
I notice you have the same wraparound bumper on the back as I do on mine. I really like the look and functionality of the thing...but man, is it a major PITA any time you want to take things apart (i.e. remove bags).
I talked to Gary at Cyclemax today. He has the valve stem TPMS on his GL1800, on the 90 degree stems. He has no problem at all with them, although he has the metal stems on his bike. I put these same stems on my bike when I changed the tires this winter.

Re: Tire-SafeGuard TPMS??
They told me the sensors only weigh a few grams. I'll try to remember to weigh them before installation. They are sending the kit via Priority mail. Should have it by the weekend....yet another item on the list...rebuild forks (already removed and torn down), replace the timing belts, replace most of the lights with LED's, add two USB ports, install drink holder, install 5 function monitor....the list is getting long for the weekend.

You would only get bored if it was a short list!!The Grand Pooh-Bah wrote:They told me the sensors only weigh a few grams. I'll try to remember to weigh them before installation. I just bought and installed this system on my GL1500, and I have written up a full review: Review: Tire SafeGuard TPMS if anyone is interested.
