Not all LED lights are the same. I tried some cheapy ones from a local auto parts store. Wedge socket. Wanted to find something worthwhile replacing all my wedge style bulbs.....worthwhile by brightness AND cost. The brighter ones in photos are the 5 LED style....have 5 LED's mounted around them, while the dimmer one is barely as bright as the original wedge bulb, with only 1 LED.
Found the bright LED's as a 10 pack for only $12.80 , free shipping. Can't go wrong.

Re: LED lights
Wow, that is quite a difference.. Definately worth $13 for 5!! Of course it will consume 5x the power of the single LED bulb, but for me, being seen by cagers (car drivers) is priceless, so the brighter the bulb the better!!

Re: LED lights
How about posting a link to where you got them? That way we can get them too.

Phunnybone.....right on . Mine came from Hong Kong, but really the same thing, and yours are cheaper anyway. Got mine in about 1 1/2 weeks. Worth the wait.....although not very patriotic.

Re: LED lights
I've got a project box with assorted parts/kits I've bought to do things to the bike. Quite a bit of US money in that one little box. Got one project out of the way this morning - Installed a Tire Pressure Monitoring System on both the trailer and the bike. Turned the trailer monitors off until I actually use it.zamboni920 wrote:Phunnybone.....right on . Mine came from Hong Kong, but really the same thing, and yours are cheaper anyway. So I figure for the almost 40 198/164 push-in bulbs, it won't hurt to buy where it's least expensive.

Re: LED lights
With LEDs you have to use same color bulbs as the lense it is going to shine throigh, red in red, yellow in yellow.

Re: LED lights
Newday777.....I agree for the most part. These LED's though are white, but gives the nice , bright amber color through the lens. Photo might not show this clearly, but I am happy with them, and will use whites. Not tried them in red lenses yet. Some other LED's I have tried.....white color gives a more greenish/yellow tone behind amber lenses.
Phunnybone.....I do the same thing....my "to do" box of parts. One step at a time.
