Contribute to the Cause

Post by ghostvet »

Hello all...

I am looking into doing an experiment- and if successful I will share what I discover with the forum (and goldwingfacts.com, too).

So, without saying too much about what I want to do, I would like to ask if anyone would like to help me out here.

I need a couple or few mirrors for this. I will need some GL1100, 1200, 1500, & 1800 because I would want to make sure it is applicable to all the platforms.

I would like them to be in the housing, left or right, and I will need multiples because I anticipate some breakage. I don't need anything new. The housings can be scratched or cracked- it doesn't matter. If anyone has any mirrors laying around no longer doing anything, maybe a spare from a bike you no longer have, or from a wreck or something. please consider sending them to me.

I will post step-by-step what I do, with lots of pictures of course. If this works, it will be pretty cool in addition to making things a little safer. If not, I will let you all know that too.

Thank you all!

I *think* I might have a spare set of old GL1100 mirrors - but if I do, they would currently be up in my garage attic, and according to the temperature gauge on my garage wall, it's 132 degrees up there right now. Perhaps when it cools off a little bit I'll venture up and have a look for you. :)

Any progress on your experiment??
Can't contribute, spares are hard to come by in Australia, let alone postage.

Thanx for thinking of me Frank.

No, unfortunately I have but had any positive responses and have not been able to get any on my own.

Maybe someday, I hope.

Thanx again!
