rain X
not sure where to put this exactly, but I will try here, I se a product called RAIN X on the windows of my vehicles, its designed to shed water and make the glass crystal clear, and it works great. Yesterday I picked up my 93 wing and drove it home ( hour and a half away) it started to mist outside, and driving against the sun, it became impossible to see ( the windshield is aftermarket, and HUGE) . was wondering if anyone has used this product on their bike windshields, the instructions gives no warnings for putting on plastic, but I thought I would ask here to see what you guys think.
When in doubt, floor it and get the he'll outa there

Don't use it on your acrylic windshield. They do make similar products (mainly for aircraft and helicopters) that works great. I have used a product called RainCoat (see my review: Moto Solutions RainCoat windshield coating) and it works amazingly well - I also use it on my helmet visor.
A lot of people swear by Pledge furniture polish. It leaves a slight oily coating which repels rain, but I find that it also attracts dust and grit like a magnet, and requires that you clean your windshield FAR more often than you would have to otherwise. I use a furniture polish that leaves no residue to clean the windshield, then a coat of RainCoat if I am going any distance, or suspect I might hit rain.

Re: rain X
1. If your windshield is OEM it is not acrylic! It is Polycarbonate w/a "hard coat" applied to both sides.
2. The RainX for glass can be used on the F4 after market windshield but, no others I am aware of.
3. RainX does market a "Marine use" formula, which is fine for all motorcycle windshields.
