Blue tooth for 2011 and older GL1800's?

Post by motorhead1977 »

I have been looking for a set up to convert my bike and wired headsets to blue tooth. I have an 09 GL1800 and sure would like to lose that coiled cord attaching me to the dash of the bike. Anyone ever seen such a set up? INHTA (It Never Hurts To Ask)

Build it and they will come! This month's issue (November 2012) of Rider has a piece in it (page 62) with exactly how to do this! Recommended is the Chatterbox stereo to blue tooth adapter (p/n 2303 $59 and an intercom system adapter plug (p/n 3900 S19) both from the Aerostitch catalog. You will of course have to have a blue toothed helmet. Welcome news for those of us who like the cordless audio route for sound.
