Solenoid switch/blade fuse combo

Post by WINGER3 »

Has anyone bought and used one of these on there bike :?: It looks like a good deal, you get a new soleniod and holder with built in blade fuse and spair fuse holder, I know the blade fuse conversion is cheaper for DIY, but a lot of guys are not that handy, just a thought. Winger3

One would think that after shipping over 4000 of them across the USA(as claimed),someone would be commenting on them....Hmmmm

I wonder who made it..?
Are the contact points waterproof?
Is the pinout compatable with the existing wiring?
Is the plug socket the same as the original?

So many questions.....

This is advertised to fit the 80/83 gl1000. Then there is a disclaimer in very large letters that it may not fit properly. Which means it won't. Caveat emptor.

I purchased one very much like it, but I think I got it from Ricks...On ebay, it's done well so far, been about a year, it's probably worth a try...
