Changing cylinder head gasket

Post by Clemmennt »

Hello all,

I'm newbie on this forum. I'm 28 years old, french guy and I ride an 1100GL 81 (it has 100 000 km ;) ).
Few days before the cylinder gasket broke down, so as winter job I decided to fix it.
I'd like to share how I'll fix it but I don't know how to create a "how to article".

Can someone explain me the process?

Thanks ahead!

Clément.

Welcome Clemment (spelling),

Photographs are good to illustrate your work as you go, which helps explain to some of us mechanically challenged. And thanks for volunteering to add your experiences to the list.

Clement welcome from the U.P. of Michigan and it is nice of you to go thru the extra time and energy it takes to show the step by step procedures you are going thru as you work thru your project. But if you need help there are people here that can do that also, so good luck.

Hello guys!

I just finished my topic: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=14868&p=77432#p77432
Can you tell me what do you think about it?

Other question for WingAdmin: how it's possible to put this topic in the "how-to Articles" for GL1100?

Thanks ahead.

Clément.

It's a fantastic article - and I already put it in the GL1100 "how to" section. :)

I think you did a fantastic job of step by step. That will help many people willing to do the same job.
