rear shocks were changed over to coil overs...

Post by sammyriver »

Hi all, the last owner changed my 1980 gl 1100 to coil over springs in the rear - that is fine with me - but I need shorter shocks ( so I can touch the ground on more than my tippy toes. - any suggestions on lowering the back of the bike either by shorter shocks / springs or some other method ?

Thanks

-Sam

If you have the original seat, the easier way would be to rebuild your seat to a lower version with perhaps some gel in it. Just a thought.

Air shocks will give you the ability to change the height anytime you want, if you are willing to spend $300 or so.
